Chocolate Smudge Cake (Tiffin Cake)

Biscuit Base:
225g softened butter
3 tablespoons golden syrup
50g chcocolate drinking powder
300g crushed digestive biscuits (Really crushed! I put them in a food bag and give them a good bash until they are crumbs!)
1/2 cup (60g) raisins
1/2 cup (60g) glace cherries
1/2 cup (60g) chopped almonds (or chopped mixed nuts)

Chocolate topping:
150g dark chocolate, melted
30g butter


Melt butter and syrup.
Stir in chcocolate drinking powder.
Add buscuits, raisins, cherries & nuts and strir well.
Spread evenly in to a baking dish.
Melt the dark chocolate & butter and pour over the biscuit mixture.
Regfrigerate until set.


Cut in to slices and serve.
